What is JPG?

JPG (JPEG) is the most widely supported picture format in the world. It uses lossy compression tuned for photographs, so files stay small while photos look natural.

Why convert HEIC to JPG?

HEIC is great for small photo files on Apple devices, but Windows, Android, most websites and many apps can't open HEIC. JPG is the better choice for opens everywhere: every phone, browser, email client, website builder and print shop; keep in mind no transparency, and each re-save loses a little quality.

Will I lose quality?

JPG uses lossy compression tuned so the difference is invisible at normal use. We use high-quality settings by default, and you can raise the quality slider before converting.

Private by design

Most online converters upload your file to their servers. This one doesn't: the converter itself is loaded into your browser and works offline from there, so your pictures never leave your phone or computer.
