How to compress images

- Choose and convert. Pick a quality (72% is a good balance), drop your pictures and download the smaller copies. JPG stays JPG and PNG or WebP stay as they are; other formats come out as JPG.

How it works
Compressing re-encodes the picture with stronger compression. Most photos lose 40 to 70% of their size with no difference you can see at normal viewing size.
