What is a HEIC file?
HEIC is the format iPhones and iPads save photos in. It stores a photo in about half the space of a JPG using the HEVC codec.
What is PNG?
PNG is a lossless image format. Every pixel is kept exactly, and it supports full transparency, which makes it the standard for logos, screenshots and graphics.
Why convert HEIC to PNG?
HEIC is great for small photo files on Apple devices, but Windows, Android, most websites and many apps can't open HEIC. PNG is the better choice for lossless quality and transparent backgrounds that work everywhere; keep in mind photos as PNG are much larger than the same photo as JPG or WebP.
Will I lose quality?
No. PNG is lossless, so every pixel that HEIC gave us is kept exactly.
Private by design
Most online converters upload your file to their servers. This one doesn't: the converter itself is loaded into your browser and works offline from there, so your pictures never leave your phone or computer.
